Primary / 6-12 yo
For fully bilingual /francophone students: We cover phonics/reading basics (CP) before moving on to concepts in grammar, spelling and vocabulary, adapted to each student (Ce1-CM2)
FLAM: A more relaxed class based on speaking and listening practice, vocabulary acquisation and cultural knowledge. For students who are almost bilingual.
For 6-10yo or 11-13yo
For 12-16 yo French bilinguals:
-Collège (6eme-3eme) /French curriculum for students who might go back to a French school or who currently attend a French school but need support.
Bonus: Classes can include tailored preparation for the Brevet des Collèges.
For native speakers/bilinguals ;
Support from Grade 7-10 /pre diploma.
Objectives:
Developing oral fluency, vocabulary, cultural knowledge, and written skills to maintain a native-level.
For Grade 11-12:
Preparation to IB diploma Language A/mother tongue or Language B . SSST Programmes
Margot began working with us when we started in 2013 as a French teacher in new London IBMYP school, She taught mother tongue French on a one-to-one basis, For the past few years she has been working with us, but teaching entirely online on a one-to-one or small group basis - she continues to teach French mother tongue to native speakers studying in international schools, and whose parents want them to maintain and develop their French for a return to the French system, or for entry into the IB SSST French Literature A programme. She is a valued colleague, caring and popular with her students, We value her on the team!
She tested his level of French at the outset to identify the appropriate level for him. She takes the children through various exercises orally and on paper that develop their understanding of sounds - I find this also helps develop and recall vocabulary.
She also challenges their listening skills with little stories and questions. She is clearly accustomed to working with small children and will direct their attention as necessary.
We find the classes very useful and my son is happy to (virtually) attend.

I have been taking lessons with Margot for the academic year 2023-24. My starting level was about 4ème in the French Curriculum, and I have now attained 3ème level. We cover all aspects of the French language and culture: grammar, syntax, lexicon, topics and culture. We practice different activities and skills at every lesson. I am now in Grade 10 and I am confident to take French language A for my diploma. I highly recommend Margot for lessons
